In this game, tiers are referred to as difficulty levels. There are 12 Tiers in total that you have to unlock by clearing waves in the game. Tier 1 is the base level of difficulty and Tier 12 is the highest level. You can rise through the tiers by clearing 101 waves in each tier.

The key to surviving in this game is to keep upgrading the Tower while playing the game simultaneously. You can upgrade the stats with Cash that earn from eliminating enemies.

The stats you can see at the beginning of the game are Attack Speed, Critical Chance, Critical Factor, and Damage. With each upgrade in the stats, the price of the specific stat will increase. Basically, all you have to do is keep developing your tower and defeat as many enemies as possible to promote it to the next tier.
