Rotate Furniture On PC
To rotate furniture in Sims 4, players need to go to the Build mode. In order to go to Build mode, click the wrench and hammer icon located on the top right corner of the screen.
Select the furniture that needs to be rotated and click the right mouse button to rotate it. Each click will rotate the furniture once. Players can rotate the furniture till they are satisfied with its positioning. Additionally, players can also use keyboard shortcuts (< and >) to rotate furniture in Sims 4. To free rotate furniture, players will need to press down the alt button simultaneously.
However, players using the Sims 3 camera mode in Sims 4 will have to rotate objects by pressing down the left mouse button and dragging the items to rotate it.

Rotate Furniture On PS4 Or Xbox One
Players using PS4 can rotate furniture by pressing R1 in Build Mode. Meanwhile, Xbox One players can do the same by pressing RB. If players want to rotate furniture counterclockwise, they can press L1 on PS4 and LB on Xbox One.
